Thank you, Jason. I have EDS. I am diagosed as having EDS Type III, but with some crossover of Types IV and VII (although I'm not short, not at 5'9"). My kid sister may have EDS TYpe VII with Type V crossover. I can't describe what it's like to wake up out of a sound sleep in sharp pain because I rolled over and a sholder or hip dislocated or subluxed in my sleep... Or what it's like to just be walking down the street - or across a large room - and have my ankle sublux or dislocate - roll out from underneath me, literally - for no apparent reason... and down I fall. Or what it's like to be in the shower, washing my long hair, when I suddenly can't move from the blinding pain, because one or more vertebral bodies subluxed... and I can't get out or do anything to help myself - other than to scream. Nor can I explain the kind of pain that I live with daily... but I know that many here at the Pride website live with chronic pain, for many different reasons.
The hypermobility problems are probably good fodder for cartoonists, though..... take heed, TerryLou! lol
