Hi from SC
On Nov 20, 2009 8:51 PM EST In: Introduce yourself here Part 2 Hello everyone, I'm new to the club and look forward to chatting and meeting new people and listening to different people from different walks of life. Just got a Jazzy Select 14 and I see now that I am going to love it. I am retired from work on disability, with Rheumatoid and Osteo-arthritis and Macular Degeneration. Getting around is getting tougher each day. I'm a typical grandmother, proud of her grandchildren and I've got pictures to prove it, want to see them? Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving ... |

Stay
On Nov 20, 2009 8:12 PM EST In: Veteran Connection This is a long on but I thought some of you might like to read it. Just Stay
A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside. 'Your son is here,' she said to the old man. She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened. Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement. The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile. He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients. Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words.. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night. Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited. Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her. 'Who was that man?' he asked. The nurse was startled, 'He was your father,' she answered. 'No, he wasn't,' the Marine replied. 'I never saw him before in my life..' 'Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?' 'I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed.' The next time someone needs you ... just be there. Stay. ************** WE ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS GOING THROUGH A TEMPORARY SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE. WE ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS GOING THROUGH A TEMPORARY HUMAN EXPERIENCE. (love this line) PLEASE PASS THIS ONE ON AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU! THIS IS WHAT WE ARE PUT ON THIS EARTH TO DO ANYWAY. RIGHT ? HAVE A GREAT DAY AND BLESS SOMEONE ELSE IN SOME LITTLE WAY TODAY! GOD IS SO GOOD. ... |

RE: Pulling to right, hot motor
On Nov 20, 2009 5:03 PM EST In: Quantum Rehab Product Questions Chelsey...that is exactly what it is acting like. I don't know if I mentioned but I think it started when I went over a speed bump. Is there some other way to fix the break hang up beside replacing the motor assembly??
I have moved the brake levers up and down but that did not help. |

RE: Light
On Nov 20, 2009 1:42 PM EST In: Pride Product Information You could install a 12 vold L.E.D headlight or the dual 24 volt light on the fiberglass above your bumper strip. You would need to drill 2 small holes to install, if you decide to instal the super bright l.e.d's, simply wire them to a single battery. ...

RE: About Groups
On Nov 19, 2009 5:12 PM EST In: New Members Orientation Center Giles, Chelsey is right. At the moment the email seems to be just a courtesy to let you know someone has left a comment for you perhaps, or answered something you have put on a thread in one of the groups. once you are logged in just click on "groups" on the R.H. side of the task bar, and the whole list of groups will come up. If you have posted on any of them you will recognise which ones and can open that group and read and/or reply. Hope this too, helps. ... |
